Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the critically acclaimed sequel to Sony Pictures’ 2018 animated superhero film, should have been the one to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature during last night’s Oscars 2024 awards show, according to actor Shameik Moore, who voices Miles Morales in the movie. The Boy and the Heron, Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli’s latest “big fantastical film” set during the Pacific War in Tokyo, ended up with the Oscar instead.
