Bandai Namco has made a free playable demo available for its upcoming game based on the popular manga by the late Akira Toriyama. Sand Land is set to launch for PC and consoles on April 26 and was one of the last projects that Toriyama worked on before his passing on March 9. Sand Land features the iconic art style of the Dragon Ball creator and is set in a desert world with a brand new cast of characters that include humans and demons striving to survive together and battle an evil tyrant.

The demo will allow players to experience some of its characters, combat, explore, and try various types of vehicles including battle tanks, motorcycles, and different types of armor. Bandai Namco has also made it so that players who try the demo and then buy the game, will receive bonus vehicle upgrades as well in the purchased version.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
