Horizon Forbidden West finally arrived on PC last week, but the definitive version of Guerrilla’s action-adventure sequel failed to capture as many players as the original did on Steam on launch day, according to figures that can be found on SteamDB. The PC version of Horizon Forbidden West is also available on the Epic Games Store.

Peak players at launch:

  • Horizon Zero Dawn: 56,557
  • Horizon Forbidden West: 25,258

That said, Forbidden West could be closing in on Zero Dawn’s all-time peak:

Players are saying:

  • “Near flawless port with great performance and no bugs. I haven’t seen such a polished day-1 experience for many years.”
  • “incredibly well done on the PC port too. its rare you see a game run so well and especially considering how amazing this game looks”
  • “Wow, this is a PC port done right! I heard nixxes wanted to deliver a console simplicity level experience, and well, they nailed it! Everything has been perfect and so smooth.”
  • “Great port. Great game… now Sony please, give us Bloodborne… PLEASE”
