Microsoft will be releasing a new version of the Xbox Series X that not only comes in white, but lacks a disc drive on the front, making it an all-digital console just like its Series S sibling, which is described as the “best value in gaming” and starts at $299.99, according to new photos that surfaced on the web today. Its release date and pricing is unknown, but the Xbox Series X remains available for $499.99 in the U.S.

Highlights of the new console include:

  • White vs. black color
  • No disc drive on the front
  • Some updated components (e.g., heatsink)
  • Same connectivity as the original

A look at the new Xbox:

Exputer noted:

…there are no major enhancements to talk about. Its price, as per my knowledge, is expected to be introduced in a lesser bracket as compared to the currently available Xbox Series X…
