Valve has released its Steam Hardware & Software Survey for the previous month of March, and with it comes data that suggests NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 4060 GPUs are growing in popularity on one of the world’s most popular video game digital distribution platforms. The GeForce RTX 3060 launched in February 2021 for $329, while the GeForce RTX 4060 emerged in June 2023 for $299.

GPUs that saw bigger gains in March 2024 include:

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (+0.75%)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (+0.60%)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (+0.34%)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (+0.32%)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (+0.23%)

NVIDIA said of the GeForce RTX 3060 in January 2021:

…you get twice the raster performance and 10x the ray tracing performance of the GeForce GTX 1060 – a massive increase. The GeForce RTX 3060 is built with a 192-bit bus, which allows us to equip this latest addition to the 3060 family with 12 GB of fast GDDR6 memory. The 12GB of faster GDDR6 also makes it a great choice for creators working with large datasets, models, and detailed scenes.
