Dead Island 2, the best-selling first-person action RPG that challenges players to survive in an iconic, gore-drenched Los Angeles that’s flooded with a zombie infection, is now available for purchase on Steam, developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver have announced. Prospective zombie hunters can pick up the game for 50% off as part of a limited-time introductory offer, while Dead Island 2’s existing DLCs (i.e., Haus and SoLA), including weapon packs, additional character cosmetics, the expansion pass, and more, are also available via Valve’s platform starting today.

Current offers include:

  • Dead Island 2 ($29.99)
  • Dead Island 2 Deluxe Edition ($32.49)
  • Dead Island 2 Gold Edition ($39.99)

A launch trailer for the new expansion:

Deep Silver noted:

Dead Island 2 is not only playable on Steam, but also compatible with Steam Deck, so you’ll be able to smoothly chop zombies, even on the go.

A synopsis for the game:

A deadly virus is spreading across Los Angeles, turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. The city is in quarantine and the military have retreated. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, you learn to harness the zombie inside of you. Only you, and the handful of other swaggering assholes who happen to be resistant to the pathogen, hold the future of Los Angeles (and humanity), in the balance.
