Shattered Space, Starfield’s big story expansion and DLC, will be launching this fall for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PCs, Bethesda boss Todd Howard has confirmed. Howard shared the news during an episode of Kinda Funny Games this week, where he also explained why future Fallout games are likely to remain in the U.S.

Howard said:

  • “Shattered Space is in the fall, but we have a big update that’s coming really soon for Starfield.”
  • “…part of the Fallout stick is on the Americana naivete, and part of that.”
  • “It’s okay to sort of acknowledge some of those other areas, but our plans is to predominantly keep it in the U.S.”
  • “…I don’t feel the need to answer…like, it’s okay to leave mystery or questions.”
  • “‘What is happening in Europe? What is happening here?’ I think those are good things.”
  • “The worst thing you can do for mysterious lands is to remove the mystery.”
