Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the new(ish) story-driven action RPG from DON’T NOD that allows players to switch between two ghost hunters in combat and solve hauntings throughout colonial New England, is now free to test as part of a new demo that has been rolled out for all platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, publisher Focus Entertainment has announced. This demo only includes the first mission of the game, but those who are seeking the full experience can currently get Banishers for 20% off thanks to a limited-time deal at storefronts that include Steam.

Game description:
In Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, players step into the shoes of Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, experienced spirit hunters sent to New Eden on a mission to aid the settlers. The stakes escalate dramatically when Antea is tragically killed during an ill-advised attack, becoming one of the very ghosts she despises. This catastrophic turn of events leaves Red torn between upholding their oath to protect the living from malevolent spirits and the devastating reality of his mentor and lover Antea’s condition.
