Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox will stop supporting the ability to purchase new games, DLC, and other entertainment content from the Xbox 360 Store on console and the Xbox 360 Marketplace (marketplace.xbox.com) starting on July 29, 2024, and with it comes a wave of new price reductions for owners of the classic console who are interested in purchasing select titles at a steep discount before they’re no longer available. More titles will be added in the months ahead, but over 60 titles are already available at a discount at the time of this posting, including Rise of the Tomb Raider and Far Cry 4, both of which are 80% off.
New discounts will be added on:
- June 18, 2024
- July 16, 2024
Games with the biggest discounts currently include:
- Alien Rage
- Dogfight 1942
- Enemy Front
- Fireburst
- Handball 16
- Hunter’s Trophy 2 (America)
- Hunter’s Trophy 2 (Australia)
- IHF Handball Challegne 14
- My Body Coach 3
- Sniper: Ghost Warrior
- Snipers
- WRC 5 FIA World Rally Championship
Microsoft noted:
Xbox 360 launched 18 years ago and was a generation-defining console that invited many people to jump into gaming for the first time and connect with friends around the world. We’re thrilled people continue playing their favorite Xbox 360 games on Xbox 360, or on newer consoles via Backward Compatibility for supported titles.
It’s important to know that this change will not affect your ability to play Xbox 360 games or DLC you have already purchased — Xbox 360 game content previously purchased will still be available to play.
