FSR 3 Frame Generation Performance
On this page, we are going to evaluate the smoothness advantage that FSR 3 Frame Generation adds to the games that support it. *Note* that while we are reporting the average FPS (Frames Per Second) on the graph, to represent the advantage, this is not really indicative of what Frame Generation does, as it does not contribute to the input of the game, it doesn’t factor into actual performance, but rather motion smoothness. It’s not a performance booster, it’s a smoothness booster. Please keep this in mind as you read the graphed results. 
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora the XFX Mercury Radeon RX 7900 XTX Magnetic Air provides 47FPS at native resolution 4K, then with FSR we gain 55% more performance and the game is playable. When we enable FSR 3 Frame Generation we gain another 79% more smoothing over just FSR upscaling.
Forspoken
In Forspoken the XFX Mercury Radeon RX 7900 XTX Magnetic Air produces 83FPS at native resolution 4K. When we enable FSR that performance increases by 37%. When we enable FSR 3 Frame Generation the smoothness increases by 75% from just FSR upscaling.
In Forspoken with Ray Tracing enabled the XFX Mercury Radeon RX 7900 XTX Magnetic Air produces 61FPS at native 4K resolution. When we enable FSR upscaling performance increases by 51%. When we enable FSR 3 Frame Generation we get a smoothness increase of 79%.
