Dead Space, the sci-fi horror video game franchise that expanded last year with a remake of the original 2008 game from Motive Studios, is set to return this month as part of a time-limited “Outbreak” mode for Battlefield 2042, the latest installment of EA’s first-person shooter and Call of Duty competitor, according to a new promo video that the official Battlefield channel shared today. “Your squad is about to become humanity’s last defense,” reads a tagline for the event, which will be available for a week later this month as part of the game’s seventh season, Turning Point.
