Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the new third-person shooter that allows players to defend the Imperium as one of humanity’s strongest warriors against the horrors of the galaxy (e.g., the Tyranids), is now available for those who pre-ordered the Gold or Ultra Editions of the game and have early access, publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have announced. The game, which starts at $59.99, features a campaign that can be beaten in as little as six hours, according to criticism that can be found online, including those that note the absence of some key PC features, such as an FOV slider.
Critics are saying:
- “err 80$ for 10 hrs campaign…what the hell is this i was hoping for 40 or 50 , but 10?? sad”
- “…the game is only 6 freaking hours?! I first saw a review from force gaming and he mentioned beating the game in 6 hrs and I was hoping maybe he just rushed through the game but with Jackfrags upload, my worst fears came true.
- “… lets be honest here….they are banking on people playing the multiplayer and paying for dlc and microtransactions in the long run…..typical live service BS”
- “13900k here and these temps are nonsense. Literally over 90 degrees. At first I though it was some kind of shader compilation, but nope…”
- “No ultrawide = Refund. Launching without support for the millions of gamers using UE displays in 2024 is wild”
- “no FOV slider in 2024. what a sad state of affairs, can we expect very basic functionality to get added to the battle pass as well?”
