The AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.9.1 driver is now available, and according to AMD, users can expect an average boost in gaming performance of 2.5x in select titles thanks to technologies that include HYPR-RX and Fluid Motion Frames 2, the newest iteration of AMD’s frame generation solution. The driver also includes support for several new PC games, including Frostpunk 2, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, The Sims 4 (DirectX 11 Update), and God of War Ragnarök, a definitive version of Santa Monica Studio’s Norse-inspired sequel. Benchmarks detailing performance gains can be found below.
AFMF 2 adds new optimizations and tunable settings for a better frame generation experience, including AI-optimized enhancements for improved quality, lower latency, and better performance on integrated graphics such as the AMD Radeon 890M found in the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. We’ve also added interop support with AMD Radeon Chill5, support for borderless full screen (on AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics), and support for Vulkan and OpenGL games. When tested in select games across select AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics cards and AMD Ryzen Processors with Radeon graphics, HYPR-RX with AFMF 2 can help deliver on average 2.5x higher frame rates in select games
