Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare and EA’s latest fantasy RPG, was the seventh best-selling game across Europe in October, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 and FINAL FANTASY VII: REBIRTH performed much better during their respective launches, according to new numbers that GameIndustry.biz’s Christopher Dring shared today. “Compared with other recent RPGs, first week sales were over 18% lower than Dragon’s Dogma 2 and nearly 21% below Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth,” a post on X (formerly Twitter) reads. Critics of BioWare have pointed out that FFVII: REBIRTH remains exclusive to the PS5, while Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on not only Sony’s console, but the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store.
Seems like a solid enough release.

Bare in mind Dragons Dogma 2 did 2.5 million units 10 days from launch worldwide.
With some aggressive Black Friday sales, Dragon Age might get close to that if results track similar in the US.
In Dragon Age: The Veilguard , players will step into the role of Rook, a fully-customizable protagonist who must rise up, unite their crew and become the hero Thedas needs in a time where legends are born or slain. Joining Rook in their fight against corrupt Elven gods is a cast of seven compelling companions, each of whom hails from an iconic faction from Dragon Age lore. In addition to their own personal storylines and motivations, companions Bellara, Davrin, Emmrich, Harding, Lucanis, Neve and Taash all bring unique combat abilities and equipment to the fray, which Rook must strategically implement in their fight for the future of Thedas.
