Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is launching a week earlier than previously announced and PC owners can now see what it will take to run the sequel. The team at Warhorse Studios has managed to push the release date up a week and has released a new story trailer to promote the upcoming follow-up to 2018’s popular game. Warhorse Studios has stayed committed to using CryEngine for the new game, which in recent years has become something of a rarity as some developers have abandoned their previous engines and switched to Unreal Engine. Much like its predecessor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II looks to be a visual treat for PC owners.

PC Hardware Requirements (via official site):

The developers have provided a slide showing the needed hardware for various resolution and frame rate targets. The sequel appears to be very scalable with minimum requirements for the low setting need only an Intel Core i5-8400/AMD Ryzen 5 2600 paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB model) or AMD Radeon 580 GPU and then 16 GB of system memory for a 1080p 30 FPS experience. An SSD with at least 100 GB available is recommended for all installs.

While the game will support DLSS and FSR, including frame generation, there is no listing for what can run the game natively at 4K/60 FPS using the Ultra Preset. This shouldn’t come as a surprise given that the first game could easily put flagship GPUs to task when it was released, and still can for a GeForce RTX 4090 at 4K. Those looking for a 4K/30 FPS experience will need at least a GeForce RTX 4080/AMD Radeon RX 7900XT but also 32 GB system memory, and a fairly power CPU such as either an Intel Core i7-13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It should be noted that for both 1080/60 FPS and 1440p/60 FPS medium setting 24 GB of system memory is recommended and any setting above then needs 32 GB.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
