Conclusion

Today we looked at the performance of the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R Cooler and stacked it up against various competitors that we’ve previously reviewed to see how it would perform with its 18 cores clocked to 4.7GHz dumping 500w of heat into it. We’ll recap the performance below and see how the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R stood up to the heat in our kitchen!

Summary of Temperatures

From a temperature performance perspective, the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R cooler outperformed the competition by a significant margin, except for being in second place for 600 RPM radiator scenarios. The results at the higher fan speed levels (1500 RPM and full speed (2400 RPM)) rival that of 420mm radiator AIOs that we’ve previously tested.

As the fan speeds drop on the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R, it becomes a bit less effective at its job but still commands respect at the 1000 RPM level, and barely drops to second at 600RPM. For maximum cooling, you’ll want to set your fan curves a bit more aggressively, however, that will be at the trade-off of adding some noise to the environment.

Summary of Sound Levels

The Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R is one of the noisier units that we’ve looked at over the years, peaking at 53.8 dB(A) of noise at the maximum fan speed of 2400 RPM. Dropping down to 1500 RPM makes the noise level much more reasonable, but once at 1000 RPM and below, the pump running at 100% out noises the fans. We’d suggest your fan curve brings the pump speed down with it to make sure you don’t get any pump wine as you slow it all down.

Overall, your ears won’t notice if you’re running the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360Rat 1000 RPM and a reduced pump speed which gives it a great intersection between performance and sound levels.

Final Points

Looking at the charts, there’s a bit to unpack here with the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R‘s performance. From a thermal performance, it’s the best 360mm AIO cooler that we’ve had on our test bench, when paired with the RGB bling on the fans and the bright LCD screen, the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R is also packed with features. On the downside, it is one of the more noisy units that we’ve had on our test bench, but with the right configuration, can keep your rig both cool and quiet.

With all this considered, we’ve got a new favorite 360mm AIO CPU cooler with the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R. The design and installation process was one of the easiest we’ve encountered, it has performed very well for us even though it’s slightly noisier than other coolers we’ve reviewed. At the $200 price point, the Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R is a premium product at a reasonable price that’s absolutely worth being on your shortlist.

SUMMARY

The Lian Li Hydroshift LCD 360R AIO CPU Cooler fared very well in our temperature testing against other units that we've looked at recently. It has an LCD screen, extra tubing to allow for concealment and lots of small ease of use features that make it a breeze to install. While it was a bit louder than its competition, it's still a great choice for you to have at the top of your shortlist.
