Test Setup

We are using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D for testing. For 2025, we have upgraded our testing PC with completely updated components from top to bottom. We are using the motherboard’s current default BIOS settings on the latest release BIOS. We have enabled PCI-Express Resizable BAR in the motherboard BIOS. We have enabled EXPO I in the BIOS for the memory. We are using a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro with the latest Windows Updates, including the 24H2 update. We have the latest drivers installed, including the latest chipset drivers.  We are using the “Balanced” power profile in Windows Settings, and Core Isolation/Memory Integrity (VBS) is enabled. AMD provided a new press release driver package for this release. This driver has been utilized for each Radeon RX video card used today.

SUMMARY

This review looks at the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 OC Edition video card. Built in the well recognized TUF theme, the card is well designed and well cooled. It features top-notch ASUS cooling and custom design, using high-quality components and manufacturing, and also offers a very high factory overclock out of the box and enthusiast overclocking with ASUS GPU Tweak III. We found that it manually overclocks well, stays silent, and offers a great GeForce RTX 5070 experience. It's only downside is steep competition from the competition in terms of performance at this price point, and steep pricing with uncertain price structures this generation. Keep an eye on changing pricing and availability if you are interested.
