NVIDIA’s most popular gaming graphics card segment is reportedly making its RTX 50 series debut and will launch tomorrow. After months of rumors and leaks the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is said to finally launch on April 16. This marks the first models of NVIDIA’s x60 series to debut and this time around rather than stagger different models across multiple releases it’s said that both RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB and 16 GB variants will launch side-by-side. NVIDIA’s x60 series are typically the most popular graphics cards among PC gamers seeking the most performance vs. lost cost angle. They often reside at the top of most-used GPU charts for many years after release, sometimes the better part of a decade. The GeForce RTX 5060 is said to follow sometime next month.

According to VideoCardz, who has tracked many recent leaks from nearly all of NVIDIA’s partners that either can’t keep a secret or are simply in too much of a rush to outdo each other, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 model will be priced at $70 less than its predecessor at $429. The 8 GB version will be priced at $30 less than its predecessor at $379. Both cards are expected to compete with AMD’s RX 9060 XT which is rumored to also be offered in similar VRAM sizes. Leaks for AMD’s next RDNA 4-based cards have been picking up in pace recently and official news could be imminent.

Lastly is the NVIDIA RTX 5060 which will reportedly only launch in an 8 GB model but maintain its x60 price of $299. Due to the architectural and feature differences of Blackwell it’s too early to tell if the lower memory configuration for the RTX 5060 will be detrimental to its intended gaming resolution targets. It is, as of yet, unknown if NVIDIA intends to release Founders Editions for any of these three GPUs, and is becoming more unlikely for the RTX 5060 Ti due to the many AIB models already leaked with nary a peep of one from the GPU manufacturer but that doesn’t mean it might still surprise us with one. Reviews for the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti are expected to go live today.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
