NVIDIA has just released a swath of new announcements both at and during this year’s Gamescom 2025 event. From updates announcing how many games and apps now support DLSS 4 to Project G-assist and NVIDIA app updates, Borderlands 4 bundle promotion, and GeForce Now ultimate tier change, Team Green had a lot to say, even if none of it involved new GPU releases.

Additionally, there are contests where attendees can win GeForce RTX GPUs. Five RTX 5070 FE models are being given away via the “Golden Ticket” giveaway; those who complete an Xbox contest could win an RTX GPU along with a 6-month GeForce Now Ultimate membership. NVIDIA App and Project G-Assist updates
A new driver and NV App update is getting launched today, adding more DLSS overrides. For those unfamiliar, these overrides enable games with older iterations of DLSS to be overridden to utilize the latest DLSS versions available, thus getting access to newer features. Not all titles are supported, and some limitations will also depend on the GPU being used, but it’s still a great and easy way to enjoy modern features when possible.
“Our newest NVIDIA app beta update launches tomorrow, August 19th, at 9am PT, accompanied by a new Game Ready Driver, which is required for several new features. Download the app update by opting into beta and experimental feature Early Access in Settings > About, or grab the non-beta version the following week. And download our new driver from the app’s Drivers tab.”
-NVIDIA
Project G-Assist, NVIDIA’s experimental AI PC tuning app that supports either voice or text control, has been streamlined to function on PCs with NVIDIA GPUs with at least 6 GB of VRAM. The new version has been streamlined to reduce memory usage by up to 40%. Other updates for Project G-Assist include the use of plugins.
