Test Setup
We are using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D for testing. We are using the motherboard’s current default BIOS settings on the latest release BIOS. We have enabled PCI-Express Resizable BAR in the motherboard BIOS. We have enabled EXPO I in the BIOS for the memory. We are using a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro with the latest Windows Updates, including the 25H2 update. We have the latest drivers installed, including the latest chipset drivers. We are using the “Balanced” power profile in Windows Settings, Core Isolation/Memory Integrity (VBS) is enabled.
We are using the latest NVIDIA driver available at the time of testing, which is GeForce 581.57. All data was tested and collected in October, of 2025 freshly.

Join Discussion →I'm a big fan of NVIDIA's x70 Ti models and always try to advocate for folks to pay closer attention to them since they usually have the same silicon as an x80 model. Pay hundreds less, OC them, and basically end up in the same arena as an x80 for much less.
Long gone are the days that an overclock could meet or even exceed the performance of a next tier up card.
Today you are lucky if you get a >10% performance improvement.
That said, the impressive part is that the power and heat didn't go up by much.
Ever since the x70Ti cards were released I've always chosen them as they are the best bang for the buck IMO.
I'd argue that slightly. With ~400 Mhz increase on this, it's definitely encroaching on x80 territory.

1440p - 5080 founders edition at stock
Picked up a Msi Ventus 3X OC 5070Ti, only because I just happened to see one in stock at my local bestbuy when they first came out. Would not have been my first choice for AIB brand/board but I really wanted one NOW.
Hard locked to 300w TGP. but through some undervolting and OC I was able to get some nice increases in performance while just touching the 300w limit.
Even though the games I play aren't overly demanding it played what I needed at 4K, the OC was a nice touch to get a few more frames.
