It’s official, the king is dead, long live the king, as GALAX has now been completely integrated into Palit after two decade partnership. Some media jumped the gun in reporting that GALAX would be no more after a message on one of its websites indicated that all customer assistance would now be handled by Palit. In addition, the statement mentioned that Palit’s management had taken over operating the company known for its premium graphics cards.

However, not long after reports of the above statement began to circulate, Palit issued one of its own to clarify what actually had transpired. While it’s true that Palit had officially taken control of GALAX, it was falsely assumed that the company would be no more. The two companies had been partners since 2007, with Palit handling support as a parent entity, and this is merely the next step in their business arrangement. The following message from Bernia Lin, Palit Sales Vice President, is currently visible on all GALAX websites.

“It has come to our attention that recent reports have inaccurately suggested that GALAX is exiting the graphics card market. We would like to officially clarify the facts:”

– Bernia Lin, Palit Sales Vice President

Business as Usual: GALAX is not stopping operations. We are continuing to develop, produce, and support our award-winning high-performance hardware.

A Long-Standing Partnership: GALAX has been a proud member of the Palit Group since 2007. The recent internal transitions are part of a global effort to integrate our brand management for better efficiency and synergy.

Unified Management: Similar to the successful integration of our internal operations between GALAX and Palit our international “GALAX”, “KFA2” and “HOF” brand is now being managed directly by our headquarters, the Palit Group. This move is designed to strengthen the brand’s global presence, not diminish it.

“We thank our community and partners for their continued support. The GALAX, KFA2, HOF and our legendary GPU lineups aren’t going anywhere we are just getting started for the next generation.”

– Bernia Lin, Palit Sales Vice President

The above message clearly states that GALAX will continue, and that its HOF and KFA2 branding will also remain. The HOF product lines have offered top-tier graphics cards, and long before the specialized RTX 5090s featuring two 12V-2×6 from ASUS and GIGABYTE, GALAX had already been offering similar designs with its GALAX RTX 3090 Ti HOF, which also included a custom BIOS with increased TDP. It remains to be seen how GALAX will fare under this “unified management,” but since Palit has been the backbone supporting it for some time, one can only hope for the best.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
