ASRock RDNA4 Radeon RX 9050 Challenger Spotted with 4GB and 8GB GDDR6 Memory Configurations

For a brief moment, ASRock revealed its RDNA4-based consumer-grade Radeon RX 9050 Challenger graphics card, which showed two memory capacities being offered. These two SKUs offer 4GB and 8GB variants and are obviously aimed at budget builds that do not have a graphics solution (i.e., CPU sans iGPU). ASRock’s product page has since ceased working, but that could be due to AMD wanting to do an official announcement prior to product reveal or other technical issues. However, the folks over at VideoCardz and TechpowerUp did manage to get a couple of screenshots of specs and other details for both before they disappeared.

Both cards are virtually identical in terms of specifications other than memory configurations.

Pricing and availability have yet to be revealed, and it’s a strong possibility that the ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9050 Challenger is intended to be an OEM card. However, depending on pricing, it could be a viable option for those aiming to keep build costs as low as possible while still having a discreet graphics solution, but the 4GB is sure to encounter gaming performance limitations with many titles needing upwards of 8GB, even at 1080p resolutions. System builders in 2026 also have many more options, with processors from either AMD or Intel providing competitive performance with their integrated solutions. On the other hand, it’s a sad time for builders with virtually no offerings thus far this year for mid- or high-end graphics cards from any of the GPU manufacturers featuring new graphics processing units.
