Owners of last-gen consoles have cause to rejoice if they’ve been longing to play the latest Star Wars Jedi game as EA announces in its latest earnings call that it is working on versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has received a good amount of praise from fans and reviewers alike since its launch but it has had its share of performance issues as well. Some have continued to critique how recent patches have largely been lacking in performance improvements and even led to one fan creating their own mods to address various issues. Despite these issues, EA appears to be committed to finding a way to bring it to older hardware which could easily present even more challenges for the game’s developers.
Per Electronic Arts:
“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is pure blockbuster entertainment, rooted in a timeless, culture-defining IP. Our team at Respawn proudly launched this title to critical acclaim and commercial success. Millions of players have already engaged with the game, making this one of the biggest events in the Star Wars galaxy this year. Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PS4 and XB1. Over the coming year, we will harness the community’s passion and capitalize on key Star Wars franchise moments to drive continued engagement for this incredible game.”
It’s no real surprise the EA is looking to further expand the release for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as it also shares how that title, and its EA Sports FIFA franchise, generated a record amount of revenue for the company.
Per Electronic Arts:
“It was a record Q1 for EA with net bookings of $1.6 billion, up 21% year over year, driven by
sustained momentum across the entire EA SPORTS FIFA ecosystem and the launch of Star
Wars Jedi: Survivor.”

It ran bad enough on the PC
Played fine for me.
Wha...Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
Come the f*ck on people, drop the last-gen sh1t already. Are you fucking kidding me?! We're 3 years into 9th-gen and you're still releasing sh1t for 8th-gen consoles, which aren't even manufactured anymore?! Just a waste of development time and resources. Time to let that sh1t go.
Tell that to sales. Those last gen consoles still have a deep pool of households/consumers to sell content to.
Just go's to show more and more that the economy is not nearly as healthy as the government would like us to believe.
