When will Nintendo’s long-fabled Nintendo Switch 2 come out? Soon, according to SoldierDelta, a proven games leaker, who shared new information from his sources about how the next-generation Nintendo console will be out as soon as September 24 next year, with early November as a fall-back date. While there isn’t much in the way of hardware details, SoldierDelta has claimed that the console will be available in two models—a standard model for $449 and a digital-only model for $400—and that it’ll also carry AR features. It sounds like the Nintendo Switch 2 will only feature an LCD screen like the original Switch, however.
The Switch 2 has targeted release in September 2024, however there’s also a placeholder for Early November. The internal name is “NG” however we don’t know about the final name. There are two intended models, one being a standard one for 449 dollars with a digital option for 400 dollars. (edited) This is all I have for now.
Okay, small update on the Switch 2 rumour. It’s a rumour that I heard, y’all know the drill So there’s a few clarifications with the rumours. First off is the “NGI codename, of which I’ve been told it’s not a codename from Nintendo, and rather seems like a codename given to developers. Small miscommunication there.
Second, I was reaffirmed about the details of the SKU however they mentioned that the price point is still subject to change in case anything happens.
The release date was also reaffirmed with a target for the 24th of September next year, but I was also told that the November- fallback release date is the 3rd of November in case something goes wrong.
Finally, my source reaffirmed the existence of AR features and that it doesn’t seem to have an OLED screen.

Not sure what you mean. Xbox Series S is digital-only because the only way you can get games is to download them. You can't use blu-ray discs to install games like you can on Xbox Series X.
The Switch is not a digital-only console, it also supports cartridges. So you can go with physical media or digital download. The Switch 2 article is saying that there might be a Switch 2 model that does NOT use physical media of any kind. It would be a digital-only model, which means you have to download games.
