Forza Horizon 4, the 2018 installment of the open-world racing franchise from Playground Games, can be claimed for no cost by any Xbox Game Pass subscriber who had previously played the game and purchased any of its DLC, according to a new message that Microsoft has been sending out to members of its game subscription service. Microsoft’s token of appreciation comes a week after Playground Games announced that the game would be delisted from digital platforms, including the Microsoft Store and Steam, this December due to licensing and agreements with its partners.
A message from Microsoft reads:
- “Thank you for playing Forza Horizon 4 with Xbox Game Pass.”
- “This game will no longer be available with Game Pass or purchasable in the Microsoft Store after 12/15/24.”
- “As a token of our appreciation for your purchase of add-on content, here is a code for the digital Standard Edition to continue enjoying the game!”

Playground Games on the delisting:
On December 15, Forza Horizon 4 will be delisted from stores and Xbox Game Pass. This means the game and its additional content will no longer be available for purchase. Players who already own the game and its content will be able to download and play it as normal, including its offline, online, and multiplayer features; physical copies of the game purchased after this date will also work and will be able to use online features.
