Borderlands 4, the next mainline installment of the looter shooter video game series from Gearbox Software, won’t disappoint and will likely achieve the same critical acclaim that the previous games in the series, including 2019’s Borderlands 3, have captured, according to a new tweet from Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford about how his team has been working “extra hard four” the latest game in the franchise. Pitchford’s statements come amid reports of the live-action Borderlands film from Eli Roth bombing at the box office, having only earned $8.8 million since its premiere on August 9.
Weekend box office numbers include:
- Cuckoo: $3 million
- Borderlands: $8.8 million
- It Ends With Us: $50 million
- Deadpool & Wolverine: $54.2 million
Pitchford said:
- “So what you’re saying is: You like what my friends and I do with our Borderlands video games even more than you like what some of the biggest and best cast and crew of film makers on the planet have done.”
- “I’m super flattered! We’re working extra hard four you on what’s next….”
- “Should the movie have just done a one-to-one retelling of the Borderlands 1 story? This platform lets someone like me hear from someone like you, which is cool! Thanks in advance for your helpful and constructive feedback 🙂
The original word from Pitchford:
