The Radeon RX 8000 Series, a new generation of GPUs based on RDNA 4, AMD’s latest graphics architecture, will not feature GDDR7 memory, according to a list of purported specifications that have surfaced online, including those that suggest the new graphics cards will top out with GDDR6 memory rated at 20 Gbps for 640 GB/s of bandwidth. AMD is expected to launch the Radeon RX 8000 Series during CES 2025, which is scheduled to run from January 7 to January 10 in Las Vegas, NV.
RDNA 4 GPU memory specs are said to include:
- Navi 48 (GFX1201): 256-bit / 20 Gbps / 640 GB/s
- Navi 48 (GFX1201): 256-bit / 18 Gbps / 576 GB/s
- Navi 48 (GFX1201): 192-bit / 19 Gbps / 456 GB/s
- Navi 44 (GFX1200): 128-bit / 18 Gbps / 288 GB/s
