Hogwarts Legacy 2, a sequel to the 2023 action RPG from developer Avalanche Software and publisher Warner Bros. Games that allows players to experience life at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, has a very high chance of happening, according to new comments that Warner Bros. Discovery chief financial officer Gunnar Wiedenfels has shared in a new interview. Wiedenfels, who spoke during Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference yesterday, indicated that players should see it in a couple of years.
Wiedenfels said:
- “Obviously, a successor to ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ is one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road.”
- “So there is certainly a significant growth contribution from that [games] business in our strategic outlook here.”

Sadly this is typical WB being out of touch news. A sequel, at the very least, should've been greenlit with its successful first launch in February 2023, not still being considered 18 months later.
They and the perfect opportunity to take you to other magic schools something potter world fans would buy into with glee. Instead... Maybe a sequel... In a while.
