Devil May Cry Season 1 Teaser Trailer
Capcom’s popular Devil May Cry is being made by Adi Shankar and Alex Larson along with Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf). Season 1 is planned to begin streaming in April 2025. Adi has said regarding the upcoming series, “Our goal wasn’t just to pump out another animated show. My goal is to make one of the best shows on the Netflix platform — period.”
“Rest assured, we are working very hard because we love the franchise and because we want to deliver something great,”
Adi Shankar, creator, showrunner, and executive producer:
Description (via Netflix):
- “Devil May Cry is based on the popular action-adventure game of the same name, developed by Capcom and created by Hideki Kamiya. The game follows the hunter Dante, who makes it his life’s mission to avenge his mother’s death by killing all demons.”
- “Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch
Netflix has partnered with Ubisoft Film & Television along with animation studios Sun Creature and Fost to develop this latest adaptation of Tom Clancy’s popular series. Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage will co-direct, Derek Kolstad (John Wick) will serve as head writer, and Kolstad and Hélène Juguet, Hugo Revon, and Gérard Guillemot for Ubisoft will be its executive producers. Liev Schreiber will voice the main character Sam Fisher. This project is currently listed as coming soon.
Description (via Netflix):
- “Splinter Cell follows Fisher, a black ops agent working for a US government division called the Fourth Echelon. In this first look at the upcoming series, a pair of goggles sinks in water and flowers are placed on the coffin of a man named Douglas Shetland. The words “Beloved Father” are inscribed on the wooden casket, and Fisher narrates, “Once you get used to the shadows, you see bad people for who they really are. And they’ll never see you coming for them.”
- “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is an animated adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, the award-winning series of espionage video games created by Ubisoft. The first was released in 2002. A series of tie-in novels following Fisher on his missions as a black ops agent were published in the mid 2000s.”
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft
Netflix and Legendary Television have created the series which will stream on October 10. Hayley Atwell will voice Lara Croft alongside Earl Baylon who returns to his role as Jonah Maiava and also Allen Maldonado as Zip and Richard Armitage. The series will pick up after the events of the Tomb Raider “Survivor” video games, Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and retain historical tie-ins.
“Everything you find in Tomb Raider is going to be based loosely off of history,” says Huo. “Being half Chinese myself, I really wanted to write something that, as a girl growing up, I always wanted to see, and that’s an adventure taking place within Chinese mythology … I have a degree in history, so all of that became very important for me.”
Tasha Huo – Series creator and showrunner
Description (via Netflix):
- “Lara must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she’ll be forced to confront her true self and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become.”
- “But as we’ve seen in the movies, she’s very skilled at boxing and Krav Maga. She’s also one of the most agile adventure heroes that we have, so we gave her a lot of knowledge of different kinds of fighting styles.”
- “In the games, some of the most fun you have is getting to level up your weapons –– go from a hand axe and level up to a gun … Her character design is going to become a sort of metaphor for how she changes and discovers herself.”

Netflix and CDPR didn’t say much about their next collaboration for Cyberpunk 2077 but given how well-received Edgrunners was it should be something to look forward to. Meanwhile another project, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep now has an official streaming date of February 11, 2025.
