Bethesda is reportedly holding out on sending review copies to gaming journalists ahead of Starfield‘s paid DLC, which is set to release next week. The team behind Starfield has been releasing bits of information regarding Shattered Space for some time. Even though Bethesda is reportedly not providing review keys for it, this is not unheard of within the gaming industry. It is however unfortunate as it can leave those interested in the $29.99 DLC waiting longer to decide on purchasing. IGN’s Dan Stapleton shared on social media upon learning that there would not be any review copies available before its September 30 launch.

Aw dang, I'm told no Starfield: Shattered Space review copies are going out ahead of launch. We'll have something up on it ASAP but I imagine that's gonna be a few days at least.

Stapleton further adds in another post how this seemingly is not the first time he’s either had little or no prior time to a release for posting a review. Those who purchased digital premium editions of Starfield will receive Shattered Space for free. Otherwise, it is available as a separate $29.99 purchase for Xbox X|S and PC owners.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
