NVIDIA is collaborating with MediaTek on a new CPU for AI PCs, and not only that, the processor is already ready for tape-out this month ahead of its mass production, which is set to begin in the second half of next year, according to a new report out of China. The CPU from NVIDIA, which is built on a 3-nanometer process and complemented by one of the company’s GPUs, is said to cost ~$300 USD, with Lenovo, Dell, HP, ASUS, and others listed as being some of its first customers. A look at MediaTek’s Dimensity Auto Cockpit chip, which features NVIDIA RTX tech (i.e., DLSS 3), can be found below.

MediaTek and NVIDIA have collaborated many times before. In March this year, MediaTek and NVIDIA jointly launched the Dimensity Auto cockpit platform , integrating AI and RTX graphics processing technology. Automakers can use the Dimensity Auto platform to cover market segments from luxury (CX-1) to entry-level (CV-1).
