Spider-Man 4, a fourth installment of the superhero film series that many seem to believe may be another multiverse movie, expanding upon a theme that was explored in 2021’s No Way Home, is in development at Marvel Studios and will begin filming in 2025, according to the latest news from English actor and star Tom Holland, who will be returning to play Peter Parker in what is probably his best-known role yet. The news comes a day after entertainment outlets learned that Marvel’s new Blade film with Mahershala Ali has been indefinitely delayed and will no longer be released on November 7, 2025, with Predator: Badlands taking the place of the troubled reboot instead. “There’s only ever gonna be one Blade,” Wesley Snipes quipped in this year’s Deadpool & Wolverine, which is out now on 4K Blu-ray.
The project saw two directors exit, first Bassam Tariq, who was eyeing a fall 2022 start, then Yann Demange. Mia Goth is set to play supervillian Lilith in the vampire slayer movie. She told Deadline’s Natalie Sitek at the world premiere of her A24 movie MaXXXine, that in regards to the Blade delays, Marvel “really care, they do. They want to make a great movie. That’s the sense that I get from them and that feels good.”
