GIGABYTE’s New AI SSD Features 150x Higher TBW Rating Than Standard PCIe 4.0 SSDs

The AI TOP UD SSD 1TB, a new M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD that is being marketed to those seeking to expand upon their systems’ AI capabilities, features a TBW (terabytes written) rating of 109,500 TB, a figure that is 150x higher than what customers might find on typical PCIe 4.0 SSDs, according to new marketing materials shared by GIGABYTE. This new AI SSD, which advertises sequential read/write speeds of 6,500/5,700 MB/s, serves as an alternative to the AI TOP 100E, a more premium model with DDR cache that is available in 1 or 2 TB capacities and a TBW rating of up to 219,000 TB. GIGABYTE’s TBW rating for these SSDs, which is described as “outstanding,” can be found below.
