Sony Interactive Entertainment’s 30th Anniversary celebrations for the PlayStation video game brand is underway, and with that comes a new update for the PS5 that allows players to change the appearance and sound of the console to echo previous generations of hardware, including the PS2, PS3, PS4, and, of course, the original PlayStation, which launched in Japan on December 3, 1994. The original boot-up screen for the PSX, featuring one of PlayStation’s most iconic sounds, is one of the customization options, according to videos that have been shared on social media.
