This year’s iteration of The Game Awards, the annual awards ceremony that producer and host Geoff Keighley kicked off a decade ago for honoring achievements in the video game industry, will deliver two “holy sh*t” game announcements, according to a Bloomberg reporter. Jason Schreier, who shared the news in the latest episode of Kinda Funny Games, also said that viewers should expect to see some early trailers for games that are further away (i.e., “won’t be out for 2026 or later), echoing previous premieres that include Monolith’s Wonder Woman and Quantic Dream’s Star Wars: Eclipse. The Game Awards 2024 will air live and free across all major digital, social, and gaming platforms around the world tomorrow, on December 12 at 7:30P ET / 4:30P PT / 12:30A+1 GMT.
