(PR) We have some Toxerific game updates!

The team at Retroware has been hard at work getting Toxic Crusaders ready, and we’re thrilled to share the latest updates with you! From new gameplay features, a release window, to the physical editions, there’s a lot to unpack!

So, we made a video breaking it all down!

As explained in that video, we’ve certainly got our hands full with:

  • Upscaling the Original Cartoon
  • Implementing New Combat Features
  • Working on New Playable Characters
  • Updating the Combat System
  • Creating New Enemies Inspired by the Original Toys
  • Revamping Boss Fights
  • Showcasing our Cutscenes
  • Working on the Game’s Soundtrack by Psychostick
  • Working with Limited Run Games for Physical Editions!

In addition, players can expect Toxic Crusaders to launch in Q2 2025, both digitally and in a physical edition release! More details on these will follow!

This extra time will allow us to give fans a gameplay experience they deserve that’s more polished and refined.

We appreciate the excitement and anticipation from our community, Troma fans, and from fans of beat-em-ups, and we cannot wait to share what we’ve been up to with Toxic Crusaders.

In the meantime, you can wishlist Toxic Crusaders now on Steam and try the demo here!

We’ll be back with more updates in the new year!
