AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 Specifications Revealed by UK Retailer: 4096 Shading Units, up to 2.97 GHz Boost Clock, 16 GB of GDDR6 Memory, and 260-Watt TDP

The Radeon RX 9070 Series, a new generation of GPUs based on the RDNA 4 architecture that AMD has yet to fully unveil, will deliver 4,096 Shading Units, a boost clock of 2.97 GHz, and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory as part of a higher-ended XT model, according to specifications for the GPUs that have surfaced at Overclockers UK, a retailer that describes itself as the UK’s leading online store for PC systems and components.

“These graphics card are built on a TSMC 4nm process and utilise the groundbreaking RDNA 4 architecture,” Overclockers UK says of the Radeon RX 9070 XT, stating that the GPU die features 4,096 shading units, 256 TMUs, and 96 ROPs, numbers that apparently make it “perfect for processing even the most taxing graphical workloads in the latest AAA games.”

“What’s more, with 64 third-generation RT cores, your games will look better than ever with photorealistic lighting effects,” the retailer continues. “The second-generation AI accelerators power AMD FSR 4 upscaling technology, so your games will feature silky smooth frame rates even during an epic battle. Furthermore, with 16GB of super-fast GDDR6 memory operating on a 256-bit bus, you can enjoy flawless performance, even with in game settings maxed out.”
