Competitive Esports players are always on the hunt for that extra bit of technological edge, and the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG is designed for just that. With a staggering 610 Hz refresh rate this 24″ monitor is both small enough, and fast enough to allow players an optimal viewing space for anything from Fortnite to Counter-Strike 2 or Dota 2, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Dota 2 and Apex Legends, which by Steam’s current counts, sans Epic’s long-running title, have well over 2 million players.
As a gaming display focused on Esports use the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG has a 1080p TN panel as opposed to any kind of 1440p/4K OLED solution, but ASUS has increased brightness levels over previous designs to 400 cd/㎡ (HDR) / 350cd/㎡. The panel also supports an impressive 125% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 color space, so players should be able to enjoy vibrant images as they whisk by at the speed of light and beyond. This display is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, capable of 16.7 million colors, supports VRR with either AMD FreeSync Premium or NVIDIA G-SYNC, features 0.08% input lag, and has a response time of 0.1ms.
ASUS has designed this display to occupy 30% less space than current XG monitors, making for a smaller desktop footprint. The company’s tried and true stand has been improved upon, allowing for +45° to -45° swivel, +35° to -5° tilt, and height adjustment of up to 160mm.
