As summer comes to an end, September arrives with a host of new story content for multiple games, giving players the chance to return for more adventures. Who knows why the decision-making trees of four different publishers would pick the same month to release their paid DLC expansions, but regardless, there are four distinctly different titles getting added story content in September. From Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of the Giants to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Legacy of the Forge and then Dune: Awakening – The Lost Harvest, plus Assassin’s Creed Shadows – Claws of Awaji, fans of any of these titles have something to look forward to.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of the Giants is the first, and likely only, story DLC for Microsoft’s popular game, where players will return to the Vatican to unravel age-old secrets. Indi will make new friends and enemies as he learns more about the Nephilim order when this DLC launches on September 4.

“The Order of Giants will take you deeper into the story of the Nephilim Order, the tribe of giants introduced in the base game story. Set during the events of the main game, this DLC introduces stunning new locations, intricate puzzles, terrifying new foes, and more.”

Assassin’s Creed Shadows – Claws of Awaji is the first expansion for Ubisoft’s latest franchise entry set in ancient Japan. Ubisoft has said the new DLC adds over 10 hours of content to the game, where players will explore a new area, discovering new treasures and enemies. This expansion adds the island of Awaji and arrives on September 16.

“Reclaim a lost treasure while avoiding the traps and ambushes of deadly new foes. Feel the tension of being hunted by a new faction, threatening the mysterious island of Awaji. As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
