BeokaChina has shared a look at what he/she claims to be an image of the GeForce RTX 3090’s PCB. Obviously, something like this could be easily faked – it’s showing 11 memory chips, which contradicts Micron’s report of 12 GB RAM for NVIDIA’s flagship GPU (maybe this is actually the RTX 3080’s PCB?) – but it does show some interesting novelties. One is the NVLink connector, which appears to be different than the one on Turing cards.

BeokaChina also mentioned that he had to cover the die with an Intel processor (of all things) because it would have revealed an “unspeakable” secret. He later claims that the core area has an external chip, which has drove some enthusiasts back to those earlier rumors of the RTX 30 Series having a “traversal coprocessor.”
