Third-party Cinebench scores for AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X have begun hitting the web ahead of the 6C/12T processor’s release, and they’re as beautiful as expected.
In one result shared by TUM_APISAK, the lowest-tiered Zen 3 CPU managed to hit a single-core score of 258 and multi-core score of 2,040, which puts it above Intel’s 8C/16T Core i7-10700K. That single-core score also happens to be better than what the competition’s flagship 10C/20T Core i9-10900K processor can muster.
Here’s how AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X compares to other popular processors based on Anandtech’s Cinebench benchmarks (1, 2).
Cinebench R15 Single-Core
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: 258
- Intel Core i9-10900K: 228 (-11.6 percent)
- Intel Core i7-10700K: 217 (-15.9 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT: 213 (-17.5 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT: 211 (-18 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 9 3950X: 211 (-18 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT: 210 (-18.6 percent)
Cinebench R15 Multi-Core
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: 2,040
- Intel Core i7-10700K: 2,005 (-1.7 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 7 2700X: 1,774 (-13 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT: 1,639 (-19.7 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600: 1,562 (-23.4 percent)
- Intel Core i5-10600K: 1,428 (-30 percent)
- AMD Ryzen 3 3300X: 1,130 (-44.6 percent)
Linus Tech Tips forum member Jumper118 has also shared a variety of AMD Ryzen 5 5600X tests performed under Cinebench R11.5, R15, and R20.
In the Cinebench R20 benchmark, the Ryzen 5 5600X achieved a single-core score of 609 and multi-core score of 4,746, which (according to Wccftech’s metrics) would place it comfortably close to the Core i7-10700K and Ryzen 7 3700X in terms of overall performance.
