Well-known leaker Kopite7kimi has released more specs for NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 30 SUPER Series graphics cards. They include the core counts and memory size for the 3060, 3070, 3080, and 3090 SUPER. The specifications could change by the time of their expected launch in 2022. Supply availability and possible GPU announcements from AMD could affect NVIDIA’s decisions regarding the lineup. This will be the first generation of graphics cards from NVIDIA to feature both Ti and SUPER models, so more changes may happen to further differentiate them.
Lining up with previous leaks, the RTX 3090 SUPER has 10,752 cores (256 more cores) with 24 GB of GDDR6X memory. The RTX 3080 SUPER has 8,960 cores and 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. Depending on MSRP and availability, this could be an attractive choice for gamers, as it might offer similar performance as an RTX 3080 Ti. The RTX 3070 SUPER is more akin to a refresh, as it will only be receiving a memory upgrade to GDDR6X.
The RTX 3060 SUPER features the biggest upgrades. Core counts have been increased over the standard and Ti models to 5,632 cores, 768 more than the RTX 3060 Ti and a whopping 2,048 more than the RTX 3060. Memory is 12 GB of GDDR6. This card is expected to compete with AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 XT and RX 6600 XT graphics cards.
It remains to be seen what display connectivity options will be offered, but they will likely feature combinations of HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, and USB-C. It is unknown whether they will feature full or reduced hash rates.
Let’s make a summary.
