GeForce RTX 4090 Can Deliver 500+ FPS in Overwatch 2 (1440p/Ultra), according to NVIDIA’s Benchmarks

NVIDIA has shared benchmarks that suggest the GeForce RTX 4090, its latest flagship gaming graphics card, can deliver up to 507 FPS with just 8 ms of system latency in Overwatch 2 under the Ultra preset at 1440p resolution. The GeForce RTX 4080 models can deliver an impressive amount of frames, too, with the 16 GB and 12 GB options offering frame rates of up to 368 and 296 FPS, respectively.

From NVIDIA:

[…] because our new GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards and Reflex are #BeyondFast, Blizzard increased Overwatch 2’s frame rate cap to 600 FPS, from the 400 FPS of Overwatch, ensuring competitive gamers and esports pros can get the ultimate experience when using our new, beyond fast GPUs. System latency on a GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU is as low as 8 milliseconds, and frame rates 500+ FPS at 1440p.

NVIDIA has also recommended the following GPUs for Overwatch 2 for competitive play:

1080p 144+ FPSNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
1080p 360+ FPSNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
1440p 360+ FPSNVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (16GB)

Overwatch 2 is live now and free to play worldwide with cross-platform play and progression for all players on Windows PC via Battle.net, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch consoles. The sequel features a total of 35 characters, 22 maps, and an all-new item shop that replaces the original’s Loot Box system.

Is Anyone excited about Overwatch 2?

Let's take a title that a lot of people paid for, close it down and force them to move to some F2P shell of that same game, and call it an upgrade.

I don't get what they are thinking. Then again, I thought the same thing when Destiny did it - and I still don't understand that one.
