Diablo IV will be released on June 5, 2023, according to Twitter user Aggiornamenti Lumia, who discovered the date after scraping the back end of Microsoft’s Xbox and Windows stores.
While the date hasn’t been confirmed, Blizzard has teased a Diablo IV announcement for this Thursday, prompting speculation that Diablo IV’s release date will officially be revealed tomorrow, December 8, 2022.

“Diablo 4 is the Diablo I’ve been waiting for,” reads one positive impression of the game that was shared today by a PC Gamer editor, who called the new installment “satisfying to play within minutes”:
Diablo 4 reminds me why other action-RPGs don’t do it for me. It either takes too long to earn enough abilities to formulate a plan or they drop so many on you that it’s overwhelming. Blizzard knows exactly how quickly to fill your spellbook and when to introduce a new wrinkle to get you thinking.
Eurogamer also had the privilege of playing Diablo IV early, calling it a great game that was well worth the wait, particularly for those yearning for a return to the darkness of the original Diablo games:
And it’s true, Diablo 4 does feel darker, not in a literal lighting sense, but in a moodier sense. It’s grim and unsettling. It’s dour and desaturated. It’s a fantasy world that’s always raining and windy – a grey-hued world of mud and weather-beaten people. A harsh world of harsh realities. I can’t think of a better comparison than Game of Thrones in the North in this regard: an unflinching place where people don’t smile much. It feels like that.
“The endless battle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells rages on as chaos threatens to consume Sanctuary,” a description for Diablo IV reads. “With ceaseless demons to slaughter, countless Abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons, and Legendary loot, this vast, open world brings the promise of adventure and devastation. Survive and conquer darkness – or succumb to the shadows.”
Many of Diablo IV’s marketing materials center on Lilith, which the Diablo Wiki describes as the “daughter of Mephisto, Lord of Hatred, and the sister of Lucion, known to all of Sanctuary as the Queen of the Succubi.”
A 24.5-inch premium statue of Lilith can be purchased from the Blizzard Gear Shop for $600.

I was mostly joking about that, but yeah, given the "OMG 10 years COD" I can't imagine MS actually making good on any threat to make any ActiBliz title exclusive.
It's all good but I do remember someone mentioning something like that not too long ago. Maybe it was COD but I remember it from around 12-24 months ago.
