Quake II RTX v1.2 Update Improves over 400 Textures, Rendering of Metals and Water

It’s time to fire up Quake II RTX again. NVIDIA has released v1.2 of the 1997 classic’s ray-traced remaster, enhancing its visuals with 400 improved textures and better rendering of both metals and water. Several new graphics options and toggles have also been introduced, which include dynamic resolution scaling.

Resolution Scaling Options: previously, you could decrease the internal rendering resolution to improve performance, or crank up the resolution to increase image quality. Now, there are options to enable dynamic resolution scaling – when dynamic scaling is activated, the game will try to keep the target frame rate by adjusting the scale between minimum and maximum.
