How far can you take AMD’s 32C/64T Ryzen Threadripper 3970X with exotic cooling hardware? Expert overclocker TSAIK, who is no stranger to stretching the potential of silicon to its limits, has managed to hit an astounding 5.75 GHz across all 32 cores with LN2 (that’s a 55% improvement over the base 3.7 GHz clock). Again, this is a 32-core beast, so that’s pretty impressive stuff. It should be interesting to see what kind of results can be had with the 64-core 3990X.

AMD must love the news in regard to its Ryzen Threadripper 3970X chip lately. Not only has the HEDT processor been scoring records galore with Asus’s ROG Zenith II Extreme TRX40 board, but it was also pushed to an incredible clock of 5,752.97 MHz with the help of the Creator TRX40 motherboard from MSI. A noted overclocker called TSAIK has posted proof of the crazy clock on HWBot’s database, which was achieved across all 32 cores of the monster chip.
