Early in the week the new specs for the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform were released after being announced at the Snapdragon Technology Summit. One of the interesting things they demo’d was the Pinball powered Snapdragon 865. Not talking about pinball on the phone but a pinball machine with the phone inside it. Legit Reviews has taken a few pictures of it here. Many of us have seen pinball games on pc’s, tablets, phones, but I’m pretty sure this may be the first time I’ve seen a phone be the heart and brains of an actual machine. The phone is mounted inside a skateboard at the top of the machine.

A novelty game with a novel twist. Thanks to Legit Reviews for reporting on this whimsical use of high end tech.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
