505 Games has released a trailer teasing Control’s first expansion, “The Foundation,” which continues Jesse Faden’s story with new missions, locations, enemies, and game mechanics. It’ll be launching on March 26th on the PlayStation 4 and the Epic Games Store for PC users, but Xbox One players won’t be getting it until June 25.

In The Foundation, the Astral Plane is colliding with our reality. Jesse Faden, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, must travel through the caverns of the Foundation to prevent the Astral Plane from consuming the Oldest House. The missing Head of Operations, Helen Marshall, may hold some answers to the mysteries surrounding this threat. As she travels deeper, Jesse will learn more about Marshall’s disappearance, and about the enigmatic Board.

Control fans who opt out of the Season Pass can still enjoy a free update that consists of a Shield Rush upgrade and the ability to re-assign Ability Points. It will also include quality of life changes, map visuals, and other additions.

“Awe,” Control’s next expansion, should launch sometime this summer (“mid 2020”). It will “take Jesse into a new part of the Oldest House, the Investigations Sector, where the Bureau closely examines Altered World Events.”
