The COVID-19 pandemic has created a lot of unknowns for the gaming industry, but apparently, Cyberpunk 2077’s release plans will not be affected. According to CD PROJEKT RED’s latest financial call, the heavily anticipated RPG is essentially complete and will have no problem making its September 17 date – all that’s left to be done is bug squashing, polishing, and certification before final manufacturing, some of which has already begun. If worse comes to worst, there are already contingency plans in place, such as a digital launch.

CD PROJEKT RED also revealed some other interesting details regarding Cyberpunk 2077, such as the fact that 600 people have been working on the game to ensure that it’s of the highest quality possible. The company also mentioned that pre-orders for the RPG are actually lower on consoles – evidently, most gamers are aware that the PC version will provide the ideal experience.

Additionally, CD PROJEKT RED pointed out that Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC would be elaborated on before the game’s release in Setpember. Speaking to investors, company president Adam Kiciński said that the game will have “no less DLC than The Witcher 3 had.”
