Square Enix has released a new “Thank You for waiting…” trailer to celebrate the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which came out this week. Along with a special message from lead producer Yoshinori Kitase – who directed the 1997 original, as well as Chrono Trigger and other RPG classics – it features the first footage of the game running on PC. Being that FFVII Remake already looks incredible on the PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro, it goes without saying that the PC version looks particularly stunning.

Final Fantasy VII Remake won’t be hitting the PC until next year at the earliest (the box art says it’s a timed exclusive until 4/10/21), but impatient fans can go ahead and enjoy the game right now on the PlayStation 4. That may be especially pertinent for players who want to avoid spoilers – apparently, the game isn’t your run-of-the-mill, unwavering remake (Square Enix had warned about this when the game’s street date was broken, and now we know why).
